If you didn’t know….. Pinewood is hosting The Truth Project Live Simulcast on September 27th. It’s an all day Saturday event and we’re the only participating church in NE Florida. The presentation will include portions of several different tours plus some motivation to “Participate, Change and Lead”. ML and I went to Colorado Springs earlier this month as Pinewood reps for host training. Tough retired duty!
For those of you who’ve participated in the “tour” and are motivated to get as many as possible involved in the study…. here’s your chance. We need a group of volunteers as “team advisors”. ML already (as a result of her voter guide efforts) has a list of local churches we intend to invite. There’s a promo DVD furnished by Focus on the Family that we’ll use to encourage other churches to get involved as well as radio stations, schools, bookstores, restaurants, etc. We need a group of likeminded folks to bounce ideas off of and to help with the mechanics on “show day”.
According to a 2003 Barna study, only 9% of professing Christians have a biblical worldview. The evidence of this is all around us in a culture where we spend our money and time on things that fail to satisfy and find ourselves wondering what life's ultimate purpose really is. We are losing our bearings as a people and as a nation. Yet God's Truth exists, and it is within reach if we seek it. If not for us…. we must inform the next generation.
